Elementor sells Elementor Pro (listed as Editor Pro) as yearly subscriptions per website, not as a lifetime license; check its pricing page for the current plans. 'Lifetime' Elementor Pro offers from other sellers are usually GPL copies of the plugin files or shared license keys: they may work today, but they do not come with updates from Elementor for life, and shared keys can stop working at any time.
What Elementor sells
On Elementor's own pricing page, Pro plans are yearly and per site, starting with the Essential plan at $60 a year for one website. Each plan gives updates, the Pro template library and support while the subscription is active. Elementor also sells a larger bundle called Elementor One. Neither is sold as a one-time lifetime purchase at the time of writing.
What 'lifetime' offers usually are
- GPL file copies: a zip of some version, legal to redistribute under the GPL, but with no connection to Elementor's update server. "Lifetime" means you can keep using that version, not that it updates. See GPL, nulled and genuine.
- Shared or resold keys: one subscription key used on many sites by strangers. It keeps working until the key is disabled or the subscription ends.
- Nulled copies: license check removed, often with malware. See nulled plugin risks.
Questions to ask any seller
- Will my site get updates from Elementor, and for how long?
- Is the plugin downloaded from Elementor's servers, or from your file?
- Is the license in my name, or shared?
- What happens if it stops working, and is there a refund?
