What customers want from a restaurant website
Menu, location, opening hours, a phone or WhatsApp button and a few photos. A booking form if you take reservations. That is the whole list, and the free Elementor plugin falls short on two of them: it has no form, and the header with your hours and WhatsApp button comes from the theme, not from you. Elementor Pro fills both gaps, and the Price List widget turns the menu into something staff can update without calling the designer.
Online ordering, without pretending
Elementor Pro has no ordering system. The simplest route that works in Pakistan is a WhatsApp button with a pre-filled message such as "I want to order from the menu", which most customers prefer anyway. If you want a real cart with delivery charges and order tracking, that is WooCommerce plus Pro's WooCommerce Builder, which is a bigger project. Start with the WhatsApp button.
A build plan for a four-page site
- Pages: Home, Menu, Book a table, Contact. That is enough.
- Photos from a phone are fine; compress them before upload so the menu page loads fast on mobile data.
- Order Pro from AI Web Tools and share a temporary login; activation takes about an hour during 10am–10pm PKT.
- Build the header in Theme Builder with hours, phone and a WhatsApp button. Add the Price List on the menu page, the Form on the booking page, the Map on contact.
- Add a popup for the current deal and set it to show once per visitor.
Keeping it updated
Menus change. With the Role Manager in Pro you can give a staff member an editor login that can change text and prices but not the layout. If nobody at the restaurant wants to touch WordPress, our Pro + Care plan at ₨2,999 a year includes monthly backups, plugin updates and small fixes on request.
