On-page SEO for an Elementor site is the same as for any site, with a few builder-specific habits: use exactly one H1 per page and set heading levels deliberately in each Heading widget, write titles and meta descriptions with an SEO plugin such as Rank Math or Yoast, give images alt text, keep pages fast, and add structured data. Elementor does not rank pages by itself; useful content does.
Builder-specific habits
- The Heading widget defaults to H2; change the HTML tag to H1 for the page title only.
- Do not use headings for styling. If you want big text that is not a heading, use a Text Editor widget with large type.
- Theme Builder single templates should output the post title as the H1.
- Avoid hiding important text in tabs or sliders where possible.
Plugin settings
- Install Rank Math or Yoast SEO; both integrate with Elementor.
- Write a unique title (about 60 characters) and description (about 155) per page.
- Generate an XML sitemap and submit it in Google Search Console.
- Use the plugin's schema settings for Organization or LocalBusiness.
