Set up WooCommerce, enable its built-in Cash on Delivery payment method, add shipping zones with delivery charges by city, and design product and checkout pages with Elementor Pro. Confirm each COD order by phone or WhatsApp before dispatch to cut fake orders and returns. Add online payment gateways later if customers ask for them.
Setup
- Install WooCommerce and add products with clear photos, prices and stock.
- WooCommerce › Settings › Payments: enable Cash on Delivery; add bank transfer if you want it.
- Shipping: create zones (your city, other cities) with flat rates and a free-delivery threshold if you offer one.
- Design the product page and checkout with Elementor Pro. See product template and checkout.
Cutting fake orders and returns
- Call or WhatsApp each new COD order to confirm before dispatch.
- Show delivery time, return policy and charges clearly before checkout.
- Ask only for the fields delivery needs; long forms lose real buyers, not fake ones.
When to add online payments
When repeat customers ask for it, add a gateway plugin from your bank or wallet provider. Check that the provider offers a WooCommerce plugin and read its fees. The full store use case is Elementor Pro for WooCommerce.
