A temporary login made with the Temporary Login Without Password plugin is much safer than sharing your own password: it creates a separate user with the role you choose, it expires on its own after the time you set, and you can delete it at any moment. Give the lowest role that lets the job be done, set a short expiry, and delete the user when the work is finished.
How it works
The plugin creates a real WordPress user without a password and gives you a secret link. Anyone with the link logs in as that user until the expiry date. When it expires, the link stops working. Your own account and password are never shared.
Settings to use
- Role: Administrator only when the job needs it, such as installing a plugin. Otherwise Editor.
- Expiry: a day for a small task like an AI Web Tools activation.
- Send the link privately, never in a public comment or group.
- Delete afterwards, even if it would expire on its own.
What AI Web Tools does with the link
We use it to install and connect Elementor Pro, confirm the license screen shows active, and open the editor once to check the Pro widgets. Nothing else. The full list of what we touch is in how activation works.
