The Loop Builder lets you design a single card, called a loop item, using dynamic widgets such as the post title, featured image, price or a custom field. The Loop Grid widget then repeats that card for every item returned by a query, for example the latest posts, all products in a category or all properties for sale. Both are Elementor Pro features and replace many separate grid plugins.
How to build one
- Go to Templates › Theme Builder and add a Loop Item, or start from the Loop Grid widget's "create template" button.
- Design the card with dynamic widgets: Post Title, Featured Image, Post Excerpt, or a custom field through dynamic tags.
- On any page, add the Loop Grid widget, choose your loop item, and set the query: post type, category, order and number of items.
- Set columns per device and pagination if the list is long.
What it is good for
- Property listings with price and size. See real estate.
- Doctor or teacher profiles. See clinics.
- Product grids designed to match the rest of the site. See WooCommerce.
- Blog and notice lists with your own card design.
Filtering and carousels
Add the Taxonomy Filter widget next to a Loop Grid to let visitors filter by category or another taxonomy. The Loop Carousel widget shows the same cards as a slider. Range filters such as price sliders need an extra plugin.
