To move an Elementor site to a new domain, copy the files and database with a migration plugin or your host's tool, replace the old URL with the new one in the database, then in Elementor use Tools › Replace URL and regenerate CSS so styles point to the new address. Finally reconnect Elementor Pro on the new domain. If AI Web Tools activated Pro, message us and we move the activation once during the year.
Step by step
- Back up the old site completely.
- Migrate with a migration plugin or your host's migration tool; most handle the database search-and-replace for you.
- In WordPress on the new domain, check Settings › General shows the new address.
- Go to Elementor › Tools and use Replace URL from the old address to the new one.
- In the same Tools screen, regenerate CSS and data, then clear any caching plugin and your browser cache.
- Check Elementor › License and reconnect Pro.
Staging to live
Building on a temporary or staging domain and going live later is the same move. Tell us on WhatsApp when you are ready; the activation follows the site once during its 12 months. See refunds and renewals.
Things that often break
- Images still loading from the old domain: run the URL replacement again including the http and https versions.
- Fonts or icons missing: regenerate CSS and clear caches.
- Forms not sending: email settings may still use the old domain. See form emails.
